Publications Associate Director

This senior Associate Director position on the Medical Education team involves the planning and review of medical publications for top-tier scientific congresses and journals and to work with the management team to run and grow the Medical Education business.

The Role

This vacancy is for an Associate Director with prior publications experience, able to lead a team of up to 6 people working on the development, delivery and tracking of publication plan.

  • As well as publication plans, the team work on literature-based needs assessment, the development of scientific communication points, proposing content and target congresses/journals for publications, capacity planning, management of multiple timelines, and ensuring publications comply with GPP guidelines and clients' operating procedures.

  • Responsible for reviewing and ensuring the quality of scientific and medical peer review publications.

  • Act as senior point of contact for clients and identifying opportunities for organic growth.

  • Develop proposals for new projects for existing and potential clients to grow revenues.

  • Report directly into the Head of the Medical Education practice.


You will likely be working as an Editorial Director, Associate Director or Account Director within a medical education or communications agency, and be looking to join a dedicated and friendly team of publications professionals.

  • Extensive experience in the planning and critique of publications for peer-review medical journals is essential.

  • Available on a full time, 4 day a week basis from their office in central London.

  • Previous team lead experience is not essential
