Sales Operations Analyst

Sales Operations Analyst (Temp) - £13.00-£14.50PH - Feltham

I am currently recruiting for a large FMCG organisation based near Feltham in Middlesex on a Temp basis.

The ideal candidate must have Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Word and SAP experience, strong analytical experience within a Sales environment and strong reporting skills and must be available immediately.


Providing key support in 2 sales areas:

Sales Ops: to support the Sales Leadership, and Account Teams with the provision of reporting, and analysis tools.

To champion best practice and continuous improvement of processes, systems and reporting, to ensure teams are fully trained and supported in the use of these and to support the Sales Ops Controller in tracking of execution, forecast accuracy and process controls.

Retail Execution: to be Super User of, and champion the company's Retail Intelligence data tool, supporting the Retail Execution Manager in providing account teams with insight and analysis.

To support trading discussions and the achievement of incremental sales through the provision of actionable insight and cross functional working


Sales Ops

  • To act as Mega User for the forecasting system (Sales Planner) and act as day to day on point between Sales team and IT.

    Run regular Super User meetings and co-ordinate inductions and training.

  • Maintenance of Sales Planner tool including regular EPOS and ISP loads

  • Provide weekly/monthly/qtr/yearly sales reports to support the S&OP process.

    (including total business daily sales)

  • To provide a key go to point for sales in relation to business process & systems.

  • Manage the sales operations account tracking process - Actual versus Forecast results, target tracking, NPD Execution standards, deduction management - highlighting concerns and recommending areas for improvement

  • To co-ordinate new starter inductions relating to Sales operational processes.

  • To provide support in presentation development - Customer JBP's as well as internal presentations

  • To support Sales Ops Controller in project management activities, and day to day sales operations

  • Systems Key User for: Sales Planner, SAP BI, Excel

  • Sales on point for all business systems, including recommendations on improvements needed.

Retail Execution

  • Key User for: Retail Intelligence.

  • Providing Analyst support for Flare and tactical team in-store incentives.

  • Support the Execution Manager in the preparation of trade and internal briefing presentations.

  • Support Execution Manager with performance tracking of Flare and advising on new or current initiatives.

  • Work with the ‘A Team' (Demand Planning, Sales, Customer Operations & REM) to address availability issues

  • Support Execution Manager in Account Planning and Strategic reviews of Flare and RSi.

Knowledge and Skills

  • A strong collaborator able to work across different functions and levels and to hold people to account.

    Responsive, adaptable and flexible to internal requests acting as the voice of sales with other functions.

  • Ability to manage several stakeholders giving great levels of customer service but understanding and delivering the priorities

  • Proactive, continually looking for ways to improve sales team effectiveness.

  • Strong analytical skills - ability to quickly interpret the data and make recommendations for improvement while ensuring great attention to detail

  • Ability to demonstrate clear concise communication

  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills

  • To be a team player - flexibility is essential

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks


  • Experience in a fast paced FMCG environment preferable

  • Advanced Exel User, powerpivots and macros desireable

  • Excellent IT skills - Excel including Access Databases (Powerpivots), Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, SAP,
