STA0032W - EHS Manager (SAS)

The EHS Manager will be responsible for all Environment, Health and Safety Management fora site in Stafford and customer sites.

Provide support and guidance to management, employees & contractors to ensure EHS is effectively implemented

Main duties and responsibilities for EHS Manager will include;
, Provide support and guidance to management, employees and contractors to ensure EHS is effectively implemented.
, Ensure efficiency of the Unit EHS Management System so it is consistent with Sector/Corporate systems.
, Liaise with other functions, to ensure the proper focus on EHS within a global management approach
, Designing initiatives that improve EHS performance to ensure they fully achieve statutory UK and customer requirements
, Maintaining ISO9001 certification as part of the UK Integrated Management System
, Continuously improving the unit EHS action plans and monitoring implementation via the management review process
, Co-ordinating a process to ensure risk assessments are completed and that safe systems of work are implemented for all core work activities on and at site
, Identifying EHS training needs for the Unit in conjunction with HR and arrange/carryout training including induction.
, Organizing accident and Near Miss reports, investigations and data analysis to identify trends and lessons learnt
, Train, coach or secure the training of action leaders, sponsors and management teams
, Supporting the project management / engineering teams in delivering projects on customer site by meeting with customers and undertaking site based audits
, Plan Safety visits for management teams (including on E&C sites) and follow-up observations
, Identify opportunities for improving EHS performances and lead successfully key EHS projects.

EHS Manager Requirements;
, A bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in EHS discipline
, NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
, English both spoken and written for working proficiency (TOEIC > 785 or equivalent required).
, Trained EHS auditor
, Trained trainer

, Previously worked in an EHS role within a similar Manufacturing environment and have exposure to operating at a management level
, Understand EHS legislation and be a member of IOSH
