Application Support Analyst

Application Support Analyst - Central/East London - £30,000 £40,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Are you a skilled Application Support Analyst looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience with Microsoft Technologies (MS), Windows and SQL Server? Do you have experience in a client/customer facing 2nd/3rd line support role?

Excipion are currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to join an expanding support team at an award winning, global leader in insurance software solutions.

This role would be ideal for an individual with experience in application support or software testing, looking to work with a major customer in a dynamic and forward thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To investigate and resolve application and system issues

  • To escalate issues to the development team when required

  • To enhance the proficiency in the database management systems (Interrogate SQL Databases)

  • To communicate with both customers, and internal teams (developers, business analysts, project managers)

  • To ensure you have developed a full understanding of the customers core operational environment and business area

  • To ensure product knowledge is at optimum level in order to support and meet full technical understanding

  • To ensure the support function is professional and efficient at all times by collaborating with the team and other departments internally

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems (or similar) or equivalent qualification

  • Proven commercial experience in a software support role (3rd Line Support)

  • Proven experience in a client/customer facing support position

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Technologies

  • Very good knowledge of SQL Server

  • Very good knowledge of Windows

  • Very good knowledge of DBMS (Database Management Systems)

  • Experience working within the insurance industry (end user or software supplier) is highly desirable
