Business Development Manager - Asset Finance

BDM, Asset Finance
£30-£60k basic + Com (£70-£90k OTE) Depending on experience + other company benefits

My client is looking to recruit an experienced BDM to join their team based within London, and working within the Asset Finance industry.

My client is looking for someone who has at least 5 years + Asset Finance and Leasing experience, as a BDM, who can hit the ground running.

This is a fantastic company to work for, and an exciting time to join, as these are new positions, as the company is expanding.

You will need to ideally be based within the London area, as they have an office in London, which they would like you to work from at least 2 days per week.
You will be responsible for bringing in new business, as well as some expansion of some of the existing portfolio in this area.

Therefore being an expert within equipment leasing, all within the harder assets such as: Agricultural, Construction, Machinery and Plant etc..

Transaction size and complexity will vary and you will be accountable for all aspects of Sales, Business Development and Client services.

, Achieving the new business goals and contributing to overall performance.
, Growing the regional portfolio within the moderate risk profile mandate.

, Providing quotes/Calculating repayments/Raising lease documentation
, Originating and executing new transactions.
, Day to day management of the regional portfolio.
, Responsible for managing own appointments/summaries/prospect lists
, Account management and development of the existing customer base
, Assessing potential customers and deals for their fit within strategy and risk policy.
, Analysing and presenting financial and non-financial risks and translating this into optimal credit structures for customers.
, Writing detailed credit proposals and credit reviews.
, Presenting proposals to Credit Committee.
, Data quality and data integrity in respect of the regional portfolio.
, Build a network to optimise and grow the customer base and create opportunities for the origination of (profitable) new deals & structures.

, 1st degree in BA / Finance / Economics, or a related discipline, MBA or Masters would be viewed positively.
, Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to provide clear, concise and accurate -documentation and reports
, Able to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team
, Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
, Highly motivated and results driven with an entrepreneurial outlook
, Minimum of 5 years + working experience with in the Asset Finance and leasing industry.
, Proven Track Record/Sales Skills in a B2B role
, Proactive Self Starter - Highly motivated with ability to succeed
, Able to build and develop relationships
, Extensive knowledge of leasing market and products and activities.

, Good MS Office skills including Word and Excel
, Strong experience in Leasing / ABF.
, Ability to arrange and lead business meetings
, Excellent ability to generate leads.

Has a strong established network, and able to bring on New Business.
