Housing Support Worker

Title: Housing Support Worker - First Point Dorset
Location: Dorset
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £17,778 pa

The organisation is a registered charity that provides care, support and advice to vulnerable people across Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.

We are looking for a person who has experience of:
, Working with vulnerable people delivering housing related support
, Has a good level of literacy and numeral skills
, Risk management, needs led assessment and support planning achieving positive outcomes for our clients
, Homelessness legislation and welfare benefits/benefit reform

And who can:
, Be person centred at all times and ensure empowerment is at the heart of everything the service does
, Act with integrity, be trustworthy and treat people with dignity and respect
, Develop and maintain excellent relationships with people both within the organisation and externally and be an ambassador and champion for our work
, Be calm when dealing with emergency and crisis
, Demonstrate excellent communication skills with people at all levels

The successful applicant will need to have use of a vehicle and be able to travel across Dorset and Hampshire, however the post will primarily be covering the West Dorset area.
