6 Months Fixed Term Contract (with possibility to go permanent) - London City – Up to £22,000 per annum + Benefits

Our client, are an integrated media and marketing services company operating in the healthcare sector.

They are seeking a Receptionist in London for an immediate start.

Earning up to £22,000 depending on experience, the successful receptionist will work at the firm’s London Wall office in the City.

This is an initial 6 month Fixed Term Contract but will have the possibility to go permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Receptionist to work at an exciting, multi-platform media business with market-leading magazines, events, research and online portals.

Reporting to the HR & Facilities Manager, the Receptionist’s core responsibilities will include:

  • Answering all incoming telephone calls in the shortest possible ringing time and transferring calls to the appropriate extensions
  • Greeting visitors on arrival and providing hospitality with a friendly manner
  • Receiving couriers and distributing deliveries swiftly and professionally
  • Booking/logging courier requests using lowest cost/best delivery options. Ensuring that authorisation and correct references/codes are given and logged.

    Subsequently checking invoices for price and references/codes
  • Sorting, franking and despatching national and international outgoing mail
  • Co-ordinating Meeting Room bookings and maintaining tidiness of the Meeting Rooms and Reception areas
  • Undertaking a monthly stock check of office and printed stationery supplies, collating and preparing all departmental orders, and ensuring appropriate sign off 
  • Processing stationery orders and distributing goods on delivery
  • Noting late arrivals, sickness, holiday bookings and external meetings for the Staff Register and producing reports based on the Staff Register

The successful Receptionist should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Well-spoken and articulate with excellent written English communication skills
  • Outgoing personality with a confident & highly professional manner
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar receptionist role is desirable
  • Attention to detail and proactive attitude
  • Good common sense
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good personal presentation, timekeeping and attendance are imperative

Additional details: this Receptionist vacancy is full time, working from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday – Friday.
