Location: Central Beds
Hours: 38-42.5 hours/week over 4 or 5 days
Contract length: Permanent
Starting salary: Up to £17,500/annum, dependent on qualification and experience

We are delighted to be partnered with an increasingly popular, Ofsted Good day nursery located in Central Beds, who have an exciting opportunity for a Room Leader to join their team in the toddler room, on a full time, permanent basis.

The nursery is conveniently located close by to bus and rail links, with super road links to Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Whether you're a driver or not, this could be the perfect opportunity! You will receive 22 days annual leave, a starting salary of up to £17,500/annum, and the option to work between 38-42.5 hours a week, over 4 or 5 days.

Accommodating a large, purposefully converted house, the nursery accommodates up to 80 children aged 0-5 years, offering quality day care and early years education.

A real home-from-home environment, children access rich resources, enjoy home cooked meals, and thrive from a mix of adult led and child initiated activities both indoors and outside.

There are exciting expansion plans for a brand new toddler room to open in the Autumn and the appointment of new Room Leader is critical to these plans.

There is an experienced management team in place who strive for high standards.

As the successfully appointed Room Leader you will bring your own early years experience to the team, and, in return, you will be able to contribute towards maintaining exceptional childcare and early years education as part of a caring and nurturing team.

Your mature, forward-thinking nature, and your obvious passion for team work will secure you a position within this nursery.

And your hard work, leadership ability and consistent, effective approach will lead to further development and progression opportunities for you.

Hard work is rewarded and your professional development will be fully supported.

As the successfully appointed Room Leader, you will bring a commitment for outstanding early years practice, as well as a wealth of nursery experience and natural leadership qualities to the team, and the ability to lead a small team, possibly across two rooms as required.

You will also boast the following attributes:

* A full and relevant early years qualification to at least Level 3, and a demonstrable history of recent experience working within early years settings

* The ability to effectively support children's learning, plan to meet their next steps and evidence their development in-line with the EYFS

* The ability to lead colleagues and team members, role modelling best practice and offering regular, sensitive and encouraging praise and feedback

* Confidence to build strong and effective parental partnerships

* A genuine team spirit and the desire to contribute towards a team effort, leading and inspiring others to practice early years care and education of an exceptional quality

* A secure understanding of the importance of safeguarding children's well-being

* Strong communication skills and the ability to share children's observations, and peer observations, through verbal and written means
