1st / 2nd Line IT Support Analyst

1st / 2nd Line IT Support Analyst: An IT Support Analyst is required to join a small team of Support Analysts responsible for managing & handling 1st / 2nd line service desk support calls and managed service delivery to clients.

We are seeking an ambitious IT Support Analyst keen to join a leading mid-sized provider of IT Infrastructure solutions (Backup, Cloud Services, Data Storage, Disaster Recovery, Managed Services, Monitoring, Server Virtualisation etc.) that really cares.

This role will also incorporate customer and internal reporting and associated admin required to deliver customer service excellence.

Varied working patterns, on-call and some site visits should be expected.

The role also includes assisting in maintaining the internal IT.

- Ensure that all support customer calls are a handled effectively.
- Ensure that all customer systems are patched and operating optimally.
- Provide solutions to customer problems within service level agreements.
- Directly deliver solutions to customer problems and where necessary organise the appropriate resource to deliver solutions in the fastest time possible.
- Liaise with the consultancy team to provide rapid solutions to customer and internal problems.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors to ensure timely delivery of solutions and installation of replacement equipment to meet our SLA commitments to clients.

Ideal applicants will have a previous customer support background, strong attention to detail and high standards.

Experience with or an aptitude to acquire the following skills is advantageous:
- VMware ESX and ESXi / vSphere from 4.x up to latest version
- Windows Server Admin from 2008 onwards
- Server hardware architectures and systems.
- Strong configuration and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with colleagues and customers, good telephone manner.
- Backup software / methodology.

(Arcserve, BackupExec, Veeam or other)
- Storage architectures and systems - DAS, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, FC.
- Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy & Exchange from 2010 up to latest version, Microsoft - Windows Server from 2008 up to latest version.
- Firewalls
- Dell, HP & Cisco Networking
- Monitoring suite
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Scripting experience
