Upstream Process Scientist

Position: Upstream Development Scientist
Salary: £30,000 to £50,000
Location: Nordics

The Role

A global Biopharmaceutical company are expanding their team and manufacturing facility and are looking to recruit an Upstream Development Scientist who will be responsible for the development of scalable, pharmaceutical-grade production processes for Biosimilar Monoclonal Antibodies using mammalian cell lines as a production platform.

You'll work in a multidisciplinary team which is responsible for practical realization of bioreactor experiments in small and medium size bioreactors and documentation of the results.

You'll also ensure that the processes are cost effective so that the Biosimilar can be produced in large quantities at low costs.


Ideally you'll have a minimum of a BSc in a life science/biochemical engineering discipline plus a proven track record for working with Bioreactors in multiple projects and experience with cell culturing.

You'll have substantial experience in mammalian and microbial expression systems and techniques whilst having the ability to co-ordinate/schedule the design and execution of experiments.

The Package

Great Salaries are on offer from £30,000 to £50,000 depending on experience as well as a competitive benefits package and generous relocation assistance.
