Technical Pre-Sales Consultant

Technical Pre-Sales Consultant - Retail/POS

A Global Solutions Provider are looking for Technical Pre-Sales Consultants with Retail experience, with a preference towards POS/Payment solutions.

You will report into the Pre-Sales Support Manager, liaising with various teams including Sales, Products, marketing, Service Operations, etc.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will be accountable for building and maintaining relationships with prospective customers by introducing the benefits of the entire product range, whilst providing appropriate technical recommendations on how solutions integrate into existing infrastructure
  • Adopt a consultative approach with designing architectural solutions which provide a clear vision using the hardware/software products and services
  • Deliver, at board level, customer presentations and demonstrations specifying both technical and commercial benefits of the entire product range
  • Provide technical support to all sales personnel to help develop and build new and existing customer relationships
  • Provide assistance to sales teams with regards to proposals and quotations

Skills / Experience required:

  • Experience with POS/Payment solutions (4690, Chec, ASTRA)
  • Microsoft Windows OS / Server
  • Network / Wireless / Routing
  • Windows Drivers/JPOS
  • Database experience - SQL, DB6 (Scripting, Admin, Configuration)
  • Direct customer experience is essential
