IT Systems Administrator (Cloud projects)

Systems Administrator Portsmouth Up to £45000 + Benefits

Do you have skills in designing and supporting Windows Systems? Do you have good CISCO networking skills? Are you interested to work for a highly innovative technology company with a superb work culture?

This would suit a passionate Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Administrator looking to work on cloud based technologies.

The ideal candidate will be extremely motivated, experienced in providing support for many solutions and will have experience in a similar role.

They will have a keen eye for detail, ability to work in a fast paced environment and very good interpersonal and communication skills.

You will also be required to take part in an out of hours emergency support rota.

Key Responsibilities:
Management and maintenance of servers and systems
Management of associated storage, firewall, load balancing and network infrastructure
Undertaking of system performance analysis, tuning, upgrades and resource optimisation
Diagnosing and fixing problems across operating systems
Perform security monitoring to ensure identify vulnerabilities and ensure all systems are regularly updated with security updates
Awareness of Automation (standardisation and automation of server and VM deployments)
Review the design and architecture of existing systems and services to improve functionality, scalability, security and resilience.

Key Skills:
Experience in a similar role (designing and supporting Windows Systems)
Experience designing load balanced and clustered services
Experience in high availability solutions including MS Windows, IIS, Active Directory, DFS and
Experience running physical servers and SANs
Experience using virtual machines and public cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Infrastructure)
Experience of CISCO network equipment administration
Good understanding of scripting & automation
Good understanding of TCP/IP networking (including operation of firewalls)
