Contract Manager

GE Grid Solutions worldwide HVDC Centre of Excellence in Stafford, UK, provides complete turn-key solutions for the rapidly-growing global HVDC market.

Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Test Laboratories and R&D are all located in Stafford.

The Contract Manager will be responsible for all contractual activities during project execution, duties include;

, Assume responsibility for all contractual activities during project execution from Hand Over from Sales until all relevant contractual obligations are completed and all relevant contractual issues are resolved / settled.
, Support project execution including Contract analysis as well as establishment and implementation of Project Contract Commercial Plans.
, Identification of Customer/Consortium/Supplier and other third party obligations.

Preservation of Alstom's rights and entitlements as provided in the Contracts.

Ensure proper notices are given in line with contract requirements.

Management of claims to/from customers and consortium partners.

Support the management of claims to/from Contractors and Suppliers as required.

Ensure appropriate recovery from third parties.
, Establishment and implementation of project specific contractual procedures, particularly regarding claims, insurance, variation orders, correspondence and notifications.

Ensure proper management of customer Variation Requests/Orders.
, Liaise with Project Planning Manager to ensure Contract Programme and Supplier schedules are produced and maintained to support Project Claim Strategy.
, Management of Project Insurances: submission, monitoring and settlement of insurance claims in accordance with insurance policies.
, Support project risk and opportunity identification and analysis.

Support the management of risks and opportunities by development and implementation of appropriate Project Contract Commercial Plan.
, Support and guidance to Project team on general contractual issues.

Clarification of contractual/legal queries, if required by referring to Legal.
, Providing Contract Management support as required in the event of a (potential) dispute.
, Undertaking any other contractual/commercial tasks as instructed/requested by Project Director and/or Management.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Law.

Have proven experience is large complex capital projects.
