Processing Team Leader

I am recruiting for an experienced Team Leader for my client based in Walkden.

They are a well-established firm within the retail industry; mainly dealing with Women’s clothing and Jewellery.

As a Team/Table Leader you will guide, support, share skills and oversee specific client jobs whilst having a hands on approach.  You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of the client’s stock by the team in accordance with the requirements on the job card or using the operational process as described in the associated client manuals and in accordance with any Health & Safety procedures and policies.


Key Accountabilities: -


  • Review Job card and associated requirements

  • Identify resource for your team and share the required task to be undertaken.

  • Show the team member what is required and then ask them to demonstrate what you have asked them to do so you can see they have understood.

  • Advise the team the expected productivity requirements as outlined on the job card or briefed by the manager.

  • Monitor the team and individuals and check that they are following the required guidelines to maintain accuracy and targets required.

  • Discuss with any team member how you can help them reach the desired target by supporting and guiding

  • Liaise daily with your line manager to plan daily work load and appropriate resource

  • Be prepared to discuss with a team member on a one to one basis  if they are not making target due to something not work related.

    Example: Chatting, taking longer breaks than they should, lack of concentration.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed so that the client can be invoiced accurately and in a timely manner

  • Check accuracy of team to ensure no Client queries or non- payment for work completed

  • Seek advice from Line Manager if in doubt

  • Ensure team abide by Health & Safety and keep a clean work area

Person specification: -

  • Good command of English language (Verbal and written).

  • Previous warehouse experience (Including similar role).

  • Strong numerical skills.

  • PC literate- Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

  • Able to follow instructions and communicate to your team.

  • Confident in your own ability and willing to train others.

  • Flexible approach to work and working hours within reason.


The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm but a flexible approach is advantageous.

The rate of pay for this role is between £7.70 - 8.00 per hour depending on experience.

Please note this is a temporary position but may lead to a permanent role after the completion of 12 weeks for the right candidate.
