Assistant Head of Event – Luxury Venue in Wales

We are looking for an experienced Assistant - Event Manager to join the team of this Luxury Conference Centre in Wales.

Key position in which you will

  • Assist with the management of the Events Team
  • Promote and sell all the facilities and services
  • Achieve and exceed financial budget and targets.
  • Ensure a maximum of convert bookings
  • Support and implement the sales strategy


  • Carry out daily checks on enquiries to ensure high quality of service and efficiency in the performance of the team
  • Organise and participate in hospitality events
  • Carry on competitor analysis
  • Introduce sales initiative to maximise sales and profit for the venue
  • Review the pricing strategy on a regular basis to maximise revenue.
  • Support team training and implement activities to ensure constant development


  • Have at least one to two year’s experience in a similar position within an Event Led venue: Weddings, Banqueting, Conference, Corporate and Private Functions.
  • Currently be a working in a 4

    * or 5

    * Hotel or Conference and Event Venue
  • Have the ability to effectively manage high volumes of business within a pressurised environment
  • Experience in using Delphi


Ideally the candidate will have experience in a similar position/establishment.
