Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Construction Secretary / Administrator to work at our busy office in the Construction department on a permanent full time basis
The duties will include general administration, typing of letters, emails, memos and minutes, collating paperwork for the Construction Director, Contracts Managers and Group Health and Safety Advisor for meetings on a weekly basis, diary management and appointments, ensuring all holiday and absence records for weekly paid staff is up to date.
You will be responsible for making sure that all site staff have up to date H&S alerts and have the necessary training and assist in the paperwork for site set ups, update the build programme and team plan from collated information from sites on a weekly basis.
Ensuring this busy department runs smoothly and efficiently.
The successful candidate must be a self motivated competent typist; a well organised individual who can prioritise their workload, who will be able to communicate at all levels, in a pleasant and professional manner with an excellent telephone skills.
Candidates, ideally will come from a construction background
Good level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel and have the ability to learn in-house systems where training will be given.
The workload will be technical and analytical and candidates must be comfortable in this environment.
