Sales Manager - Travel Trade
Currently recruiting for an experienced Travel Trade Sales Manager to join our sales team .You will be responsible for the management of the hotel's Travel Trade accounts, in addition to developing new business opportunities within the market with a focus on maximising revenue.
, Working with the Director of Sales to achieve the sales plan and revenue targets for the Travel Trade segment in line with strategy and budget expectations
, Maintain excellent working relations with the key Destination Management Companies and travel agencies sourcing accommodation during congresses and large events in order to increase market share, secure repeat business and to up-sell dining and conference options at the hotel.
, Develop leisure and incentives business from travel agencies based in the UK and other targeted feeder markets.
Understand travel behaviours of customers in these markets, and adapt and promote hotel's USPs for each market in the most cost-effective way.
, Generate Room Revenue by attracting new customers from relevant feeder markets, and develop strategic plans to secure and enhance such business relationships.
, Monitor and benchmark competitor room rates in the assigned segment.
Analyse and share this information on a regular basis with the Director of Sales and Revenue team.
, Prepare and implement strategic action plans to ensure rooms revenue targets are achieved in assigned segments.
, Continuously audit hotel's images and descriptions in the brochures and websites of the 3rd parties (travel agencies).
Work closely with the marketing team to update them.
, Negotiate rates with customers, follow up with relevant colleagues to ensure rate loading and conversion of the business.
, Maximise incremental revenue for supplementary departments such as F&B.
, Monitor and track production from all managed accounts, ensure quarterly business reviews with the clients and inform the Director of Sales of the outcome of such reviews.
Analyse production and highlight any successes or concerns.
, Represent and support the hotel at industry trade shows, exhibitions and trade events as required.
, Closely monitor competitor activities in assigned markets (both groups and individual travel).
Analyse and present this information to the Director of Sales.
, Identify relevant promotional opportunities and notify the Director of Sales to assess the business potential for the hotel.
Work closely with the Revenue team to identify need periods and support the occupancy of the hotel.
, Identify and assess any relevant preferred partnership opportunities and share with the commercial team in order to select the most profitable and cost-effective travel trade partnerships for the hotel.
, Attend sales meetings and assist in preparing forecasts and various reports for the Business Plan.
, Conduct show rounds and site inspections, fam trips and deliver presentations with relevant clients.
, At least 2 years similar and proven sales management experience within the London hospitality market
, Excellent knowledge of the travel trade market in the UK and feeder markets
, A proven track record of successful business development and Travel Trade account management
, A proactive approach with the passion and drive to deliver results
, Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
, Confident professional with good presentation skills
, Good interpersonal and organisational skills
, A competitive salary of £32,000 plus company benefits will be offered to the successful candidate
