Registered Home Manager

WhiteKnight Recruitment are working alongside a well established residential care home based in Wiltshire.

This particular home are seeking a Registered Home Manager for their 60 bedded home with elderly residents suffering from dementia, complex needs and parkinsons disease.

This company was eatablished in 1992 as a charity funded home where they provide short term respite care and day care.

The Key responsibilities:

* Lead, direct and supervise all support staff working within the home in providing the right standards of care to residents

* Formulate a business plan for any new development

* controlling budgets and overall management responsibility within the setting

* taking up references, conducting interviews, completing health checks to all new members of staff working at the home

* providing induction training, supervising staff when appropriate and ensurin the staff co insight their responsibilities

* promoting good commication when it comes to staff meetings and written and verbal reporting

* involving residents in decision making about activities

* taking responsibilities of adults safeguarding

Person Specification:

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent

* minimum of 3 years experience working at supervisory level

* ability to work under pressure

* ability to promote residents rights

* Knowledge of local and national codes of practice relating to care of older people.
