Maintenance Technician


Stream Pharmaceutical are recruiting on behalf of a highly regulated manufacturing client located in Berkshire.

They require a Maintenance Technician to join them on a full time permanent basis.

The Maintenance Technician will form part of an established team you will use both mechanical and electrical engineering skills and knowledge to maintain and enhance the performance of our clients equipment.

Your aim will be to provide first class, flexible support to maintain and repair the clients equipment and systems.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the equipment conforms to internal and external standards (HSE, Insurers, cGMP) whilst optimising equipment

Deliver effective maintenance through a sound technical background, flexible working approach, good communication and proven troubleshooting skills.

In order to be considered candidates will need to have recent and relevant fault finding maintenance experience within a high volume automated production environment.

A recognised Mechanical Engineering or Electro/Mechanical apprenticeship is required or equivalent e.g.


Candidates will need be required to use analysis skills by using RCA (Root Cause Analysis) techniques and be competent in electrical / electronic fault finding.

It would be advantageous if candidates have previous experience working in a cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment ideally within either Food / Drink Manufacturing / FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Packaging or similar automated manufacturing and highly regulated organisation.

The role is working on a day shift pattern which will includes being on a call out “rota” - with this in mind candidates need to live within an hour of the site in Berkshire.
