£19,000 - £20,000 plus Company Bonus


Hours: 8-5.15 - 4.45pm finish on a Friday

A contract positon has become available in the Purchasing Department to support a busy period.

Reporting into the Purchasing Manager the main responsibility of this position is to source items required for the site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To source and procure components/services that are required to ensure the site can function efficiently.

  • Internal/ external queries

  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes

  • Processing orders on SAP

  • Negotiate best prices and lead times

  • Pursue outstanding orders

  • Process invoice queries

  • To ensure the purchasing dept.

    is not a health & safety risk to any staff.

  • To ensure all waste generated by the purchasing dept.

    is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

  • To comply with company guidelines and health & safety requirements.

  • To adopt manual handling techniques where applicable.

Skills & Experience:

Ideally you will have experience with a purchasing environment along with:

  • Commercial acumen

  • SAP preferable

  • Negotiation skills

  • Confident telephone manner

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Self-motivation and an ability to work on your own initiative
