AVP Functional Risk Data (Enterprise Risk Management)

(Expanding Bank located in Manhattan)

The incumbent will oversee the management and implementation of data governance in area of Enterprise Risk Data Area for BCBS239, 2052 and other risk related regulatory requirements).

He/She will serve as technical SME to deliver the following data related activities: 1) create functional business requirement 2) data dictionary, data lineage, data remediation, data quality and dashboard, 3) document policy and procedures 4) develop training and awareness capabilities for the bank.

5) Develop high level architecture for both enterprise data and risk for future-to-be solution, 6) Key Risk indicator reports.

The candidate should have 3-5 years of content-centric/risk data-centric experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), ideally with a financial accounting/computer science/data analytics/statistics background.

A Banking /financial services background, preferably in the enterprise risk management space is required with a solid understanding of risk governance and control processes ,business/data analysis experience, regulatory requirements and previous risk data and financial product development skills required.

High proficiency in SQL, MS Office, and other core technologies.

The candidate should be passionate about data and have strong leadership abilities.

S/he should have an ability to elicit business requirements from stakeholders, analyzing, documenting, and prioritizing them, experience with stakeholders in ensuring the needed level of research is completed to accurately define the solution benefits and risks and working with technical teams to validate proposed solutions.

The candidate should also have knowledge of database design, architecture, data structures, and process flows, Banking systems and processes - risk management, sub-ledger, ledger, regulatory reporting and reconciliation systems.

We are looking for someone with an analytical mind set and strong problem solving abilities, an ability to work with tight and competitive deadlines, requirement of strong SQL knowledge - ability to write and read complex queries and investigate data quality issues.

Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) are required.
