Logistics Coordinator

Job Purpose and Requirements

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of equipment movement throughout the company to fulfill customer needs, including using their knowledge of medical equipment and their financial acumen to make sound recommendations on the purchase, logistics and utilization of equipment.

, Analyze, research and coordinate Logistics requests for medical equipment from UHS District Offices with immediate customer or par level needs

, Maximize availability of current equipment fleet by evaluating current equipment utilization at district offices

, Make decisions on most effective means of transporting equipment while meeting district needs

, Serve and assist UHS field personnel regarding equipment availability, equipment orders, equipment shipments and general equipment-related questions

, Recommend action plans for equipment logistics based on equipment availability while considering the most fiscally advantageous option for equipment movement

, Schedule freight and padded couriers to conduct equipment moves

, Document and assist with claim process for equipment damaged during shipping

, Train and support UHS field personnel on ServiceNow web-based equipment ordering system

, Consult on additional program development for ServiceNow web-based equipment ordering system

, Develop ad hoc reports to assist in effective decision making related to UHS equipment fleet and freight costs

, Run and analyze numerous reports to monitor, understand and act on changes in equipment fleet on a regular basis (interval varies by report output)

, Report and track lost equipment

, Function and serve as a product specialist for Critical Care medical equipment

, Execute short-term tasks related to manufacturer recalls, training for field personnel, equipment information, shipping information, metrics on operational performance/trends, and customer conversions to UHS

, Attend Asset360 implementation calls in assigned region

, Disposal request management

, All other duties as assigned

, Extensive knowledge of medical equipment serviced by UHS

, Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

, Strong organizational skills and a high level of professionalism

, Ability to multitask and be highly productive

  • Ability to work to defined performance metrics for order fulfillment lead times and overall work performed.

Background Requirements

, Bachelor's degree in related field

, One to two years' previous logistics or supply chain experienceinator
