Deputy Manager - Door to Door Fundraising

Flow Caritas are working with a well known humanitarian aid charity to recruit a deputy manager for it's successful door to door fundraising team in London.

The post sits within the Individual Giving team, reporting directly to the Door Manager and regards supporting the management of the in-house team of face-to-face fundraisers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

, Supporting the door management team with day to day operational management of the campaign
, To arrange your weekly time table to cover the following:
, 4 days active in the field - fundraising, team leading, monitoring teams, site visiting and coaching Fundraisers and Team Leaders
, 1 day of administrative tasks - based in the office
, Monitoring and reporting on key performance and quality indicators, including attrition and sign up rates and reporting this back at weekly operational meetings, making recommendations on next steps
, Opening and shutting down days in line with operational policy, ensuring that the TLs follow procedure when coming in to the office on a daily basis and deploying them on time to get to their site at 1.20 pm
, Training new starters
, Interviewing candidates with the door management team, in line with the documented in-house interview procedure
, Monitoring teams to ensure compliance and best practise in the field
, Providing bank holiday cover
, Providing phone support to the team leaders when requested
, Daily android checking in and checking out and supporting the administration team with the daily stock check of androids
, Assisting Door Fundraising Manager with updating management data weekly and in line with administration deadlines - e.g.

scores/payroll/territory data
, Conducting performance reviews with fundraisers
, Coaching team leaders and fundraisers
, Assisting with team leader meetings on a weekly basis and ensuring an agenda is arranged ahead of each meeting and action points are followed up after the meeting
, Supporting the territory booking procedure and providing feedback to the administration team by maintaining the territory filing system, monitoring site usage and logging site feedback
, Assisting with the organisation of weekly rotas in time for the following week
, Ensuring the safety of fundraisers in the field in line with operational policies

Person Specification:

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager or Team Leader with high working standards.

The successful candidate will have a desire to lead from the front as well as a flexible and innovative approach.

The Deputy Manager plays a pivotal role in the execution and development of the London Door section and so applicants should be dedicated and committed.

The post-holder will be expected to cover office duties, and so should therefore have good administration and planning skills, as well as support the teams in the field.

The role requires strong leadership, as well as a proven record of face-to-face fundraising in a growing and dynamic environment.
