Sr. Vice President - Head of Retail Banking


SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - HEAD OF RETAIL BANKING - LONG ESTABLISHED, FAST GROWING MULTIBRANCH COMMUNITY BANK IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY





BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the overall direction, supervision and management of the retail branch network as well as the back-office support departments.

This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


-Develop and manage deposit, loan, income and expense goals/budgets for branch system.


-Oversee the coaching and mentoring for the retail banking staff utilizing the Fairmont process.


-Coordinate with Human Resources and/or Retail Administrator for the interview and hiring processes for prospective employees in the Retail Banking sector.


-Coordinate and maintain overall staffing needs for the Retail Banking sector; recommend changes in branch personnel, when appropriate.


-Coordinate with other members of the Senior Management team to develop new retail products and services.


-Develop new business prospects through networking to create new opportunities to increase the number of products per customer.


-Coordinate, lead and support various community and civic events in order to promote good will and generate new business.


-Provide support and oversee the implementation of new and existing marketing initiatives.


-Make recommendations regarding advertising and community donation solicitations.


-Oversee all back-office departments to ensure continuity with branch network.



-Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to EEO policy and show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educate others on the value of diversity and promote working environment free of harassment of any type.




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


At least ten years experience in retail bank management experience including branch management and operations, retail management and operations and business development
