Ward Manager (RMN) - West Yorkshire - Permanent - Full-time - £33000 to £40818
Medicor are pleased to consider applications for the position of Ward Manager (RMN) working for our client based in West Yorkshire on a Permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be registered with the NMC and have Post qualification experience.
The Unit is a private purpose-built hospital with good transport links with the towns and cities of West Yorkshire.
The hospital provides a range of low secure, specialist and psychiatric intensive care services for men and women, This role is based within a Male low secure unit using recovery based treatment in a low secure environment for men whose mental health needs result in continuing and ongoing disturbed/challenging behaviour and who may have a dual diagnosis.
You will need to have the following essential skills and experience for the position;
you will be Educated to Degree level,
Be NMC registered as an RMN and have a minimum of 2 years experience within a mental health setting and an interest in working with patients with complex needs.
Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
Minimum of 2 years' experience with working with patients detained under the MHA 1983
Evidence of recent practice.
Safeguarding Adults and
Children Awareness Training
Minimum of two years' experience post qualification.
Experience in managing/coordinating shifts on a day to day basis
Ability to assess, deliver and evaluate quality care
Ability to demonstrate team working/leading and development of others
Previous experience working within a PICU or Secure Service
We are also looking for the following desirable skills, but are not essential for the position;
Mentor Preparation Course/ENB 998 or equivalent,
Knowledge and experience of secure services pathways,
Knowledge and experience of secure services pathways
Experience of change management and/or working in a changing environment
Experience of teaching and coaching staff
Experience of facilitating groups
This is a Full-time Permanent position working 38 hours per week working in West Yorkshire.
The salary for this position is between £33000 and £40818 and is dependent on experience and suitability for the position.
