Assistant Service Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within one of the fastest growing and established automotive groups for a focussed and motivated Assistant Service Manager to join their prestige brand dealership in West Sussex.

The ideal candidate will be currently working as a Senior Service Advisor looking to take the next step up.

The objective is to motivate and lead a team of over 25 people and drive the business forward.

The role:

  • You will personally be committed to the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction and able to motivate staff to improve in this area

  • A ‘hands on' management style leading from the front and covering all non-productive roles where necessary

  • Manage the service operations, setting high standards across the dealership

  • To assist the Aftersales Manager in day to day duties

  • Ensure accurate collection of all relevant customer information

  • Take customer bookings as required and ensure these are correctly loaded into the workshop

  • Making sure customers are updated on the progress of their vehicle throughout the day

  • Accurate invoicing of jobs completed

  • Ensure all payments are processed correctly

  • Comply with processes and standards set for customer service and complete customer satisfaction

  • Ensure any customer issues are handled sensitively and promptly where necessary

  • Ordering parts as required to complete jobs

  • Work with the Aftersales Manager to exceed departmental targets

Who we are looking for:

  • Someone who is fully committed to customer satisfaction and ensuring the correct procedures are carried out

  • The successful candidate must have previous Service Advisor or Senior Service Advisor experience looking for that next step up to eventually progress into service management

  • Previous knowledge of Kerridge is preferred

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent customer handling skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Able to manage significant workload both as part of a team and able to work on an individual basis

  • Ability to build a rapport with customers and interpret their needs and requirements

What's on offer?

£30,000 basic

£40,000 OTE
