Printer Support Engineer

Experienced Printer Support Engineer required for site based printer support at a prestigious end client in the Banking sector in Canary Wharf, London on a full time permanent basis involving shifts (weekly rotation basis).

Must have experience of break fix support on a wide range of printers including (mono, Inkjet, LaserJet, MFD/MFP, DesignJet/wide format) & have previously worked in a similar role, any HP Printer certification/training would also be highly desirable ideally in a 2nd line capacity, along with experience of SafeCom, Service Now and Web Jet Admin applications.

The Printer Support Engineer role based in Canary Wharf, London will require on-site diagnosis/repair of a variety of HP printer kit (laser, mono, inkjet, designjet, deskjet etc.) + parts ordering, spares management and installs on a shift basis (normally 8.5hr shifts between 7am-7pm Mon-Fri on a weekly rotation).

The principle role of the Printer Support Engineer is to carry out routine and break fix repairs to HP Printer products.

Ensure that good practices are being followed and ensuring that all on-site processes are understood and completed.

Provide technical support to end users on site ensuring that users experience reflects the good practices.

Provide site repair information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing the repair process and reporting clearly.

Assisting with printer moves and installations.

Assist the local Lead Engineer with administrative duties relating to their site.

Continuously updates product knowledge by studying released bulletins, product repair manuals, and participating in manufacturer training courses when requested.

Practical Experience required:

Minimum of 3Yrs on break/fix service to printers or Photocopiers, preferably HP multifunction printers.

Ability to interpret service documentation to assist with troubleshooting.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills.
