They are currently recruiting for a Capital Portfolio Manager to be based in Kent.

The position is permanent.
The key responsibilities for the post involves leading a team of Planned Project Managers who are delivering planned maintenance refurbishment works to our client’s properties.

Our clients current programme includes but is not limited to, cyclical decorations, window and door renewal, fire risk assessment building works, external projects including roofs and structural elements, supported housing projects and internals refurbishments projects along with a number of smaller projects. 
You will be working as a member of a busy management team, delivering planned works to our client’s customers across a wide geographical area.

Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Construction / Facilities Management Project Manager with strong project management and leadership skills which are essential to this role as is a successful track record of managing a team to deliver planned improvements.

Your practical work experience should ideally be supported by a project management qualification (foundation level) in either Prince or AMP.

You will need to have a sound technical knowledge of housing construction, repair and improvements and be up to date on current Building Regulations and Health and Safety Legislation.

Experience of managing a diverse team over a wide geographical area is desirable and together with a knowledge and experience of delivering improvements to leaseholders.
You will need to motivate and lead your team of Project Managers to deliver customer excellence and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required standards. 
An ability to use spreadsheets, Microsoft Project and Word are essential to this role and knowledge of asset management software systems, our client uses Keystone.

You will have experience of planned works and large scale projects within the housing sector and able to produce planned work specifications.
You must have strong verbal and written communication skills and strong organisation and planning skills.
You should have a proven approach to risk management, be customer focused and able to demonstrate a high level of influencing and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

You must be a car owner/driver as you will be based at our client’s offices in North Kent which is a modern purpose built office with free parking and staff canteen facilities.  However, your team will be largely site based so a degree of travelling will be required.

Therefore, it is essential that you are able to legally drive in the UK and have access to a vehicle on a pre-arranged basis.
Our client is extremely supportive to the ex-military community and therefore applications are welcome from military leavers and ex-military personnel.

Salary will be in a range of  £42,000 – 50,000 per annum depending upon experience.

An essential car users allowance is also payable of £1300 per annum.
