Food & Beverage Supervisor

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor for our Hospitality client based in Hertfordshire.

This is a permanent position with a salary range of £17k - £19k depending on experience.

You must have previous experience of working in a similar role in a 4

* establishment.

As the Food and Beverage Supervisor you will assist in the day-to-day running of the food and beverage area.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor your responsibilities will include the following:-

  • To ensure the hotel's standards are adhered to

  • To give both internal and external customers quality service

  • To ensure complaints or problems are taken action against

  • To ensure all staff members are appropriately and smartly dressed at all times

  • To ensure standards of personal hygiene are followed by all staff at all times

  • To ensure effective briefing of waiting and bar staff

  • To check and monitor that all beverages and food items are prepared and served according to company standards and within statuary regulations

  • To promote additional sales / selling up whenever possible

  • To document all guest feedback for future references

  • To ensure line cleaning, wastage and bar duties are carried out on a regular basis to the correct SOP or standards set by the hotel

  • To ensure effective security of keys, cash, stock and property - company, guest and personal

  • To ensure safe working procedures and carry out risk assessments

  • To monitor all standards of work, working practices, productivity and standards of customer care of the members of the department under your supervision

  • To promote team work within the department and with other departments

  • To actively engage in your own personal development to benefit the business and improve your personal skills

  • To assist other departments when required to do so

  • To ensure that all cleaning is recorded

  • To ensure that no out of date produce is sold or consumed on the premises

  • To ensure that all legal requirements are met at all times and licensing laws are carried out to the letter of the law

  • To be proactive, improving the quality throughout your department and others.
