Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer required for a permanent role in Greenford working for a leading defence client.


*Must have British Passport OR EU Passport.

If EU Citizen you must have been a permanent resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

*Please note: if you have been out of the UK for 6+ months within the 5 years you won't be able to get security clearance.




We are looking for someone who can deliver product and process improvements within the supply chain to aid in productivity, delivery and cost reductions for the business.

-Liaises between Design team and Supply chain to implement long term improvements to reduce lead time and cost on mechanical assemblies and complex mechanical parts.

-Create, review and maintain manufacturing documents for products in line with the customers requirements, cost, quality and delivery.

-Evaluates existing and new manufacturing processes and products through the use of PFMEA and implements improvement actions when risks are identified.

-Designs and manages the manufacture of tooling required to support repeatability and reproducibility, implementing into production in the appropriate manner.

-Provides manufacturing engineering support to product and process investigations
and delivers reports that include the use of Root Cause Analysis tools and Preventative and Corrective action tools and techniques.

-Provides manufacturing support to the FRACAS process to reduce defects reported
from the shop floor; this includes working with suppliers to reduce defects
originating from the supply chain, feeding back to the Engineering design team
where appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
, Experience in manufacturing of Electro-mechanical products.
, Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing methods for mechanical assemblies and parts i.e.

machining and fabrication techniques
, Experience in working in an Aerospace design and manufacturing environment.

, Knowledge of Manufacturing tools and techniques in a low volume/high complexity environment i.e.

Lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma methodology
, Proactive thinker; “can do” approach to resolving issues and completing tasks
and ability to “think outside of the box” to suggest new approaches

-HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering as a minimum.
-Time served Mechanical Apprentice preferred.

-Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
