Head of Application Management Services

Head of, production, operations, support, Management information system, Application, manufacturing, aviation, civil, military, ITIL, ITSM, Cloud

Length of contract: three month contract

Rate: my client are currently doing market analysis, please revert with the current rate and sought rate

Purpose:

To provide leadership to the AMS Function through the effective management of Team leads, consultants and vendors.

To provide strong leadership to support the execution of Technical Delivery of AMS Services in support of my clients key business drivers.

End to end accountability for all production operations and services to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience.



Key skills and competencies required:

Suitable tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience

Strong team management experience preferably across Global teams

Demonstrable experience in a production support environment

Experience of coordinating resources across MIS teams, including external vendors and service providers, specifically in relation to system recovery or management of critical business services

Candidate must be able to demonstrate proven ability to deliver outstanding service in a high-pressure environment

Experience of working in manufacturing within the aviation (civil and or military) would be a distinct advantage, although not essential

SAP experience is preferred

ITIL / ITSM v3 Certification (desired)

Likely to be an experienced leader of managing production Application services across Global boundaries

 

Experience of managing third party suppliers to complex contracts and Service Level Agreements

 

Demonstrable practical experience of providing appropriate level reporting/KPIs

 

Team leadership and people development experience

 

Cloud based systems experience would be ideal

 

Architecture and/or design of software solutions

 

Understanding of testing strategy and implementation

 

Team leadership and development

 

Strong people manager, interested in development of others, good coach and mentor

 

Analytical, numerate, able to present succinct, clear, fact based advice to senior

 
Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, exercising discretion in dealing with people at all levels
