£17,325 - £18,500 depending on experience, plus an on-call premium
Based in Congleton covering Cheshire East

Full time but we would consider Part time.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and energetic Children and Young Peoples Services Co-ordinator with a positive can-do approach to support the Registered Care Manager, leading the Children and Young Peoples Services in Cheshire East.

We deliver a wide range of services to both adults and children, operating across a large geographical area.

We are a Network Partner of the organisation, the largest charity for, with and about carers.

Our goal is to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.

We aim to ensure that information, advice and practical support are available to all carers in our region.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to children, young people and their families working across our group activity sessions as well, as in the community.

The group sessions currently include a weekend activity club for children with complex needs and Asperger's social activity sessions, which will involve outings and activity evenings.

Key Tasks include:

, Completion of assessments, reassessment and risks assessments for all children's work including groups
, Organising and leading on group activities and events
, Leading and motivating a team of Carer Support Workers
, Ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations within this area
- Working in partnership with other professionals, such as Occupational Health, Health Visitors and Social Workers


, Experience of working with children and/or young people is preferred

, NVQ/QCF level 3 Childcare / Health and Social Care or a desire to work towards it.

, Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, and be computer literate.

, Flexibility is critical as there will be a requirement to work some evenings and weekends to cover the groups sessions as required (minimum of 2 x Saturdays per month & 2 weekday evenings 6-8pm per fortnight).

The role will also require being part of the On Call rota.

, Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
