This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading software provider of corporate intranet solutions.

We are looking for a professional individual to work within the existing SCRUM team based at their Newbury office.

The current client base consists of over 100 customers across a variety of vertical markets including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Financial Services, and Educational establishments, Telecoms, Construction & Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical & Health, Retail and Entertainment sectors.

The role
You will be working in a small team reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager responsible for delivering quality releases of our Intranet, extranet solution.

You will work closely with various teams within the company; this includes sales team, development team, support team and our professional service team.

- Contribute to stability of the application through functional, regression and post load verification and penetration testing.

- Provide planning on how major and minor projects will be tested.

- Plan to continually improve quality in operation, procedures, scripts and all documentation owned by the team.

- Implement test strategy for the team's application.

- Participate in CR, High Level Design, user story and specification reviews, to feed in to test plan design.

- Take responsibility for project, product or release quality control to ensure compliance of delivered functionality and functional integrity.

- Write, maintain, and improve test plans/scripts, conduct test execution when necessary.

- Ensure accurate results are recorded and manage defects.

- Provide go/no-go recommendation on test campaign.

- Produce documentation that is clear and easy for the target audience to understand, using standard templates and test tools.

Communicate it to stakeholders.

- Make recommendations/business case for improvements in automated test processes
- Manage any 3rd party testing relationships
- Contribute to AGILE meetings and processes.

- Contribute to the management of the SCRUM process.

Attributes and experience
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- 3 years relevant QA Test experience in an AGILE environment
- 3 years relevant QA Test experience in an Web environment
- Experience of test automation
- Self-starter and strong logical problem solver
- Extremely well-organised
- Ability to deliver to agreed timescales and to high standards
- Passionate about what you do with a keen eye for detail
- A flexible approach to working independently on tasks and as part of a team
- A passion for web technology and an interest in social media
- Reliable, honest and trustworthy
