Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor Team Leader

Reporting To: Senior Legionella Risk Assessor Team Leader

Location: Working on various sites, may be required to travel around UK


* Education : GCSE (or equivalent)

* Technical knowledge of the Water Hygiene Industry

* Health & Safety knowledge

* Approved Legionella Risk Assessor Qualification as detailed in HR57 or willing to undertake qualification


* Good people skills

* Driving licence required

* Ability to communicate with customers effectively and in the correct manner

* Effective communication when dealing with the organisation of risk assessors

* Attention to detail

* Able to conduct competency checks


* Previous experience of the Water Hygiene Industry essential

* Experience of conducting Legionella Risk Assessments

* Carrying out competency checks

Main Duties:

* Execute on-site work

* Enforce Health & Safety practise on-site

* Problem solving /Diagnosing faults within Plumbing Systems

* Execute work in conjunction with IT Systems[

* The Risk Assessment of hot and cold water systems within various types of buildings (including Spas and Cooling towers if competent to do so)

* Carry out Risk Assessments to UKAS 17020 standards, ACoP L8, BS 8580 and IMS74.

* Assist with maintenance work where no conflict of interest arises.

* Correspond with Schematic Coordinator, Formatter and Quality Assurance Officer to ensure Risk Assessments are accurate and of high quality.

* Day to day communication with Risk Assessors delivering technical advice and support

* Overseeing the scheduling of Risk Assessment work in the Reading area

* Overseeing day to day operations of Reading area Risk Assessors

* Completing UKAS training and competency check tasks for Risk Assessors primarily in Reading area

* Supervising of project works

* Assisting in execution of corrective actions arising as a result of re-inspections and internal & external audits
