Payroll Manager | Temp-to-Perm

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will drive the weekly payroll of the company's 1500+ and growing staff.
The Payroll is national and this role will be hands on and encompass:
- Overseeing and assisting with the processing and completion of the weekly payroll
- Owning the monthly head office payroll and ensuring compliance
- Calculating, processing and reporting on leave, terminations and payroll tax
- Managing workers compensation payments and other payroll related statutory obligations
- Ensuring the ongoing integrity of the time and attendance and payroll system
- Mentor, train and develop the Payroll Officer and educate staff on payroll processes
- Drive ongoing process improvement
- Attend to payroll related queries
The successful candidate here will be someone experienced in managing an end-to-end payroll function and ideally have previous exposure to staff supervision.
The role requires someone with a strong attention to detail, resilience and the motivation and drive to facilitate company-wide change in payroll procedures and replace the “old approach” with something equally straightforward and easy to adopt.
Chris21 experience would be highly desirable but not then end of the world if you did not possess it.
