Head of Information and Security and Compliance

Radius is seeking a talented Head of Information and Security and Compliance to oversee the matrix Security and compliance team, whilst also taking the remit to build the SOC team.

Managing information security is a business critical function.

In addition to providing internal security services across the organisation, the Security Operations team and Security Operations Centre (SOC)also offers customers a range of security services to protect their organisation and meet industry and legislative requirements.

Reporting to the Head of Information Security and Compliance, the Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that we meet our cyber security commitments for customer systems as well as our own internal security.

This role encompasses management and development of a team of security professionals.



Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist with the design, architecture and deployment of SecOps strategy
· Accountable for SOC Event and Incident Management
· Manage schedule security tasks (security services request fulfilment)
· Deliver technical prevention, detection and corrective controls to the business and its customers
· Manage the Information Security Toolset including; SIEM, DLP, Netflow, IDS/IPS, Anti-Malware systems.


· Mentor and develop operational security staff
· Provide expert advice to colleagues on the technologies and processes that underpin cyber security for internal and customer systems
· Keep abreast of current and emerging security trends and threats
· Co-ordinating and influencing existing operational teamsto ensure that client contractual obligations are met
The Requirements
· Technical skills and experience
· A broad knowledge of underpinning IT systems including operating systems, switching and routing, firewalls, databases, cloud infrastructure.


· Knowledge of security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, patch deployment, netflow, IAM, DLP, DDoS mitigation, cryptography.
