A leading supplier of IT Solutions to the Public Sector with offices throughout the UK requires an enthusiastic engineer to join the Cloud and Infrastructure Team.

The role is perfect for an infrastructure professional with experience in Cloud, Hosting and IT infrastructure services.
As a Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer you will be working as part of a team to implement innovative solutions based on public, private and hybrid cloud products for a wide variety of customers in both public and private sectors.

You will use Cloud products from public and private cloud vendors such as Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud or other vendors to help customers deliver their IT strategies.

The role will also require you to implement and support systems and solutions for internal and client infrastructure.

Enjoy solving real world business problems using cloud services
Build technical and security architectures in the chosen cloud service and document these to engineering standard
Can explain technical issues to non-technical people and participate in design meetings
Are driven to meet or exceed customer expectations in everything you do
Keep abreast of latest trends, knowing when to apply the latest technologies to deliver best value for our customers


Windows 2008/2015, AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy etc.

MS Exchange design and implementation
Network design principles for hosted systems and implementation
System monitoring tools experience
MS SQL 2008
Server hardware configuration
Configuration and support of managed switches
MS Hyper V, VSphere,
SAN implementation and administration in clustered and DR environments
Cloud : design and implementation of Azure, Amazon or Google IAAS
Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure
Knowledge of architecture governance best practices and experience applying them to solve client problems
Excellent oral, written, presentation, interpersonal skills, customer orientation, problem solving, team interaction, effectiveness, multi-tasking, analytical, and decision making abilities required
Have experience managing staff at a technical and non-technical level
Be flexible and on call for out of hours work based on a rota and agreed SLA times.
Be hands-on and able to solve complex infrastructure problems
