Business Development Manager

We're on the lookout for an engaging Business Development Manager to join a reputable training provider; someone who can effectively engage with employers within the Railway sector in the North and Midlands areas, creating new vacancies for apprenticeships and traineeships.

, Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
, Knowledge and understanding of the Railway Industry

Business Development Manager : Your experience.

, At least 2 years experience in a similar role within B2B Sales in educational environment
, Experience within the Railway Industry
, A proven track record of meeting / exceeding targets
, Previous experience of maintaining excellent working business relationships
, Experience of recruiting learners onto apprenticeship/traineeship programmes in a previous role

, Railway specific qualifications and licenses, specifically Personal Track Safety and Track Induction Certificate (TIC) as a minimum

Business Development Manager : The role.

, You will be responsible for engaging with employers within the Railway sector within the North and Midlands areas creating new vacancies for apprenticeships and traineeships.


, You will be responsible for working with employers to make sure they have full knowledge of and take advantage of the apprenticeship opportunities on offer to both employers and learners.


, Developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential apprentice employers, you will develop long term beneficial relationships with them, particularly with decision makers.


, You will also be responsible for engaging with learners and matching them up with the right vacancy.


, You will use highly experienced sales skills to search, arrange and attend meetings with potential customers to promote and advertise the company's products in government funded training.


, Deliver presentations to funders, employers, prospective learners and related stakeholders on the profession, structure of the programmes, funding streams and the nature of training programmes and activities.
, You will need to be flexible to travel across the North and Midlands so will reside in these areas.


, Company car provided.
