Microsoft Channels Development Manager


Technology areas: Contact Centre software applications aligned with Microsoft Lync, Cisco Call Manager and Avaya IP Office,   (e.g.

ACD, CTI, Dialer, IVR, Call Recording, WFM, Lync Unified Communications)  

Home located, offices are centrally located
Salary: £40-50,000 Base + Car Allowance + Double OTE + Benefits.

Our client is a developer of software solutions selling to the Avaya & Microsoft Contact Centre markets worldwide.

The New Business Development Manager is responsible for selling our entire portfolio of Microsoft and cloud based solutions focusing on a multimedia contact centre base on Skype for Businees, sfb a, Cloud Call Back Service, an interaction recording platform and Professional Services through new channel partners and existing channel partners in the UK and Ireland.

Generate new business annually in the UK & Ireland markets particularly focussed on Microsoft Channel partners and experience of MS partners for Skype / SfB / others a benefit
Recruit and widen our network of channel partners
Increase software product sales as a percentage of total sales


Sales and Channel Management
Identify, research, qualify and sell solutions and services into new target channel accounts
Account manage the existing channel partners
Assist with targeted marketing campaigns to recruit new partners and any end user lead generation
Work with pre-sales to provide timely responses to RFP’s, requests for proposals and quotes
Ensure discount rules met and profitability targets are achieved
Strengthen relationships with channels and customers to maintain loyalty and grow existing markets, channels and key customers
Maintain knowledge of competitive offerings
Personify the brand and service reputation in the unified communication and contact centre market as a brand that is trusted, innovative, consistently delivering on promises, high quality and provides excellent customer service.

Assist in identifying product opportunities to assist products sales growth.

Ability to identify, research, assess and qualify target accounts
The persona to seek out and open dialogue with new contacts, communication skills to demonstrate the value proposition and the charisma to convince and successfully complete sales.

Fully understands the consultative sales process and how it can/should be applied in each opportunity
Self-motivated with the tenacity required in new business sales but possessing strong Account Management and leadership skills – A Hunter who likes to Farm.

Ability to communicate effectively at a senior level, both verbally and in writing, using tact and judgment combined with assertiveness and conviction.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Structured approach to business with the ability to foster commitment to excellence and lead continuous improvement.

Excellent negotiation and closing skills
Ability to demonstrate software solutions

Demonstrable success in new business development role selling software and services through channel partners.

Experience of dealing with Service Providers, VAR’s and traditional resellers advantageous.

Knowledge of the Call Contact Centre Market place from a technology and operational perspective.

Experience in solution selling direct into Mid-Market and Enterprise customers
Knowledge and experience of selling into the MicrosoftSFB Channel
Evidence of formal solution sales training essential and a Career Sales person preferred
Must be willing and able to travel to customers and channel partners across UK and Ireland.
