Sales Manager for Europe (Wholesale Travel Market)

We are seeking an experienced and driven sales manager for this successful online wholesale travel company to join its busy Europe team and focus on driving sales in their Swiss market.
This world-leading supplier of online hotel bookings and inbound travel offers ambitious growth and future expansion plans both in the UK and overseas markets.

The role is responsible for the Management, development and delivery of both existing clients and new strategic partners in the assigned region, to optimise sales and profitability, bringing growth in line with budget

, Responsible for the retention and development of existing clients
, Identify, target and deliver new strategic partners in assigned Region whose product and service needs are a good fit with our core offering.

, Quantify, qualify and gain an in-depth understanding of all clients, their set up, their technology, their focus areas, in order to recommend opportunities for sales growth.

, Follow and ensure client's progression to go live in line with target delivery dates in order to achieve new business targets
, Take ownership and establish self as primary contact for clients under your remit, with the support of the Regional Manager for key partners to the business.

Build strong relationships to gain their trust, engagement to grow mutual sales, and resolve any issues amicably
, Initiate commercial negotiations with clients to finalise agreements and incentives, creating a win win position for the business
, Oversee the set-up of clients internally to ensure correct product, suppliers, pricing is applied to their account relevant to their needs and distribution
, React quickly to missed opportunities and technical issues that are hindering sales or go live, escalating where necessary
, Monitor, analyse and report on partners' activity to ensure trading in line with expectations, and highlight where potential growth and under performance exist
, Communicate with Marketing, Purchasing and Content departments to provide clients with tailored offers and campaigns along with updated product news
, Monitor and minimise financial exposure position of clients to the business, support credit control in resolving outstanding payments

Person Specification:
, Fluency in English and French or German
, Knowledge and previous experience of working as a B2B Sales Manager (or equivalent) within the travel industry, ideally within online travel
, Knowledge and experience of managing key accounts
, Proven track record of exceeding targets and delivering new business
, Knowledge and experience of XML preferred
, Organised and able to balance the demands of several activities, work under pressure and achieve deadlines
, Ability to produce accurate reporting and management information
, Available to travel when required

The Package:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive base salary of £32k plus generous performance related bonus scheme.
