Software Architect / Head of Development

Software Architect / Head of Development - Wimbledon - £60K to £75K + Bens

In this role, you will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of new development projects that are elegantly designed and offer a rich user experience.

You will Lead on the Architecture and Software Design for a variety of web and digital projects.

Prior client-facing experience is desirable as you will be expected to present our solutions to the client.

You will be responsible for the Australian and New Zealand software projects and be expected to innovate using your extensive knowledge of the hardware systems for that region.

In addition, you will be responsible for leading the integration with the hardware and designing the systems for our Australian & New Zealand clients.

You will be a key player in the team, especially in the management team and will steer the direction of software development methods, processes and technologies.

The company is focused on and specialises with the Sports sector so the applications are Sports related and are used on both the web and mobile devices.

In this role you will get the opportunity to work with a selection of high profile sports related clients.

The team consists of experienced .NET Developers and Mobile application Developers.

Due to the location of some of our clients (Australia / NZ) you will need to be available to work 'out of hours' as required.

Essential skills and experience:, MVC, C# and SQL Server, Entity Framework, Microsoft Azure and Gated Access Solutions

Desirable skills and experience: JQuery, Umbraco, SMPP, Mobile Gateways, Concept Web Services, Bounts API, , ICT Security systems (Aus / NZ) and ACT Security systems (EU)

If you have worked in a digital agency or software house environment that would be useful and any experience on web based applications that are used to help develop online user communities that would also be useful.

The company is based in central Wimbledon about 2 mins from the train station / tube.
