Core Asset Consulting's Client, a global investment house has an opportunity for compliance professionals to join their Edinburgh team at both Associate and Analyst level.

This is a permanent opportunity.

You will be work within the Compliance reporting Operations function, which services clients including Asset managers, corporate clients, pensions and trustees, requiring daily management and servicing.

  • Coding or report writing experience

  • Compliance monitoring experience

  • Excellent financial market and instrument knowledge

  • Regulatory Knowledge - UCITS, UK COLL, 2a7, 1940's ACT

  • Experience of developing and delivering reporting solutions to clients

  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel


  • Degree in related technical area, for example Mathematics, Economics, Computer Sciences, Accounting or Business

  • Qualification involving financial instruments - IOC, CFA, CISI or similar

  • Experience coding and report writing with logic-based database systems

  • Knowledge of a myriad of financial instruments including derivatives

Core responsibilities:

  • Onboarding new clients on to the Compliance Reporting Service

  • Interpreting investment mandates to identify the restrictions to be monitored

  • Generating Compliance Criteria to provide full disclosure to clients

  • Discussing and agreeing reporting criteria with clients

  • Coding identified and agreed "rules" within the Compliance Reporting application

  • Thorough testing of the reporting solutions

  • Providing technical input in client meetings as necessary

  • Creating and sustaining strong client relationships - regularly communicate with clients
