Core-Asset Consulting's client, an Investment Manager in Edinburgh, has an opportunity for a Senior Counterparty Management Analyst to join its business on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a growing global company.

You will deliver key counterparty trading information across asset classes in support of the Investment Team, including trading flow, share of asset class wallet analysis and best execution / trade cost analysis.

You will be responsible for looking at key counterparty relationships and the costs associated with them.

This role will best suit an individual who enjoys working as part of a team, is well organised, pragmatic and motivated to design and deliver management information (MI) solutions to enhance the overall counterparty management offering to the wider Investment teams.


  • Qualified to degree level.

  • Extensive experience in the financial services sector.

  • Experience of developing business plans and strategy.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and leadership skills and personal credibility with Senior Managers, Directors and Executive teams.

  • Self-sufficient, driven and able to work on own initiative.

  • Strong numerical ability (comfortable working with figures and mathematical concepts)

  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills using the coordination of several data sources

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Ability to gather requirements and to articulate clear and concise feedback to stakeholders

  • Experienced in producing complex and detailed data analysis to a non- technical audience

  • Ability to manipulate, analyse and synthesise data using different sources to create customer led, data driven reports and high impact presentations

  • Quick learner, intellectually curious and tech savvy.

    Close attention to detail and high personal standards for quality and thoroughness

  • Ability to bridge the gap from the Front Office to the IT teams


  • Knowledge and understanding regulatory change including MIFIR and MIFID

Core responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate business requirements

  • Draw greater consistency, define common standards for counterparty effectiveness

  • Source and develop an efficient and effective MI solution in accordance with business requirements

  • Communicate MI data to the relevant stakeholders including quantitate input to broker review process across the Front Office

  • Build automated reports to monitor key elements of MI on regular basis

  • Implement self-service reporting environment for proactive trading performance reviews

  • Collaboration to identify opportunities for improvement to enhance data-driven decisions

  • Field ad-hoc report requests and data enquiries from various areas of the business
