DevOps Engineer

A DevOps Engineer is required to join a bespoke software house based near Bromsgrove.

Deployment / Windows / Office 365 / Exchange / Azure / SharePoint / DynamicsCRM
up to £50,000, 25 days holiday, pension, equipment, ability to work from home, training allowance, life assurance LOCATION:
Bromsgrove, commutable from Birmingham, Worcester, Redditch, Wolverhampton and Solihull

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work within DevOps team of a Software house based in Bromsgrove.

The ideal DevOps Engineer will be involved with deployment of bespoke software and will be a supporting a wide range of infrastructure which runs custom software developed by the company and hosted exclusively in public clouds.

You will be resolving 3rd line ticket issues, affecting changes in live environments, using appropriate change control procedures including configuration versioning with git.

You will also be managing the day to day up keep of environments, including marinating a wide range of services, databases and applications.

As the company host on the cloud, candidates who have experience with cloud based technologies would be highly considered.

Also experience with any of the following technologies would also be good Azure, SharePoint, Office365, DynamicsCRM or Exchange, as these are used regularly by the business.

The company are a bespoke software house providing software development for start-ups, and agile blue chip companies.

Must Have Skills

  • Software Deployment

  • DevOps

  • Experience with infrastructure at scale within Office365, Dynamics and Azure.

  • Windows Systems Administration

  • Office 365 Management

  • Web hosting expert with IIS

  • Solid backup & monitoring setup/management

  • Experience with IP4/6, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S firewalling & load balancing

  • Building images & scripting installations for automation including PowerShell

Desirable Skills

  • Windows Certifications

  • VS C# .NET

  • Exchange and SharePoint Management

  • Databases including MS SQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Maria or Mongo

  • Umbraco or similar CMS

  • Jenkins Continuous Integration

  • Git Source Control
