Printer Support Engineer

Experienced Printer Support Engineer required for site based remote service desk at our clients UK HQ in Aldermaston, Berkshire on a full time permanent basis involving shifts (monthly rotation basis).

Must have experience of break fix support on a wide range of printers including (mono, Inkjet, LaserJet, MFD/MFP, DesignJet/wide format) & have previously worked in a similar role providing remote/helpdesk or site support, any HP Printer certification/training would also be highly desirable ideally in a 2nd line capacity, along with experience of SafeCom, Service Now and Web Jet Admin applications.

The Printer Support Engineer role will require remote diagnosis of a variety of HP printer kit (laser, mono, inkjet, designjet, deskjet etc.) + parts ordering, spares management plus repair of returned printer kit on a 24/7 coverage shift basis (normally 10.5hr shifts- monthly rotation basis including weekends + nights) and ideally our client is seeking a dedicated printer engineer that has dealt solely with printers for a number of years in their previous roles.

The Printer Support Engineer will be a site based role on a full time permanent shift basis but will require own transport (car, van, motorbike), along with full UK driving licence as you will need to access the site outside of standard public transport times to cover shifts or be within walking/cycling distance of Aldermaston, Berkshire.

The Printer Support Engineer role will be based at our clients UK HQ in Aldermaston, Berkshire dealing with HP printers on a remote support basis for a variety of large clients including the banking and construction sectors, insurance, oil + gas and government depts.
