Deputy Manager

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available to work for a highly reputable and prestigious domicillary care company based in Cheltenham for Deputy Manager.

The company specialise in offering an exceptional home care service ranging from 1-24 hour calls.

All clients are privately funded so the business can focus on good quality customer service.

This is a full time, permanent role paying £24,000 per year plus bonus up to £2500 per year working Monday to Friday 830-1730 along with completing on call 1 weekend in 3.

Responsibilities of Deputy Manager:

• Supporting the Registered Manager and Director with the smooth running of the business
• Completing Risk Assessments and Care Plans for new and existing service users
• Attending assessments for perspective clients and being a professional and positive representation of the business
• Working inline with CQC regulations including record keeping and standards of practice
• Managing investigations and disciplinaries if needed
• Leading the office team to ensure all shifts are being covered
• Supporting with payroll and invoicing
• Assisting with recruitment and selection
• Being able to work under stressful situations and problem solve
• Over seeing of assessments and complex care packages
• Promoting and ensuring quality assurance is completed on a regular basis
• Participating in the on call rota and completing 1 on call every 3 weeks
• Training, Induction and shadow shifts for new starters including shadow shifts
• Occasionally attending some care calls should the team be short staffed

Person Specification for Deputy Manager:

• Experience working within a Deputy Manager capacity is essential
• Achieved NVQ level 5 in Health and Social Care
• Strong knowledge with CQC regulations
• Strong knowledge within Domiciliary working regulations
• Strong knowledge within Safeguarding procedures
• Customer Service driven
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a multi- disciplinary team including leading by example, delegating work load, managing and supporting your team and supporting to develop and progress knowledge and skill set
• Experience of completing risk assessments and care plans
• Driving licence and own vehicle is essential
