Position: Qualified Nursery Practitioner

Location: Hitchin
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Contract length: Permanent
Starting salary: In the region of £15,000-£18,000

We are pleased to be supporting this well-established, reputable, thriving day nursery situated in Hitchin, as they recruit for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent basis.

As the successfully appointed Nursery Practitioner, you will bring passion and enthusiasm for early years, creativity, warmth and nurturing qualities to the team, as well as the following attributes:

  • A full and relevant early years qualification to at least level 3

  • Experience of working in a nursery environment (voluntary or paid, so newly qualified candidates would be considered!)

  • The ability to effectively support children's learning, plan to meet their next steps and evidence their development in-line with the EYFS

  • Confidence to build strong and positive parental partnerships, ensuring all parents are involved as fully as possible

  • A genuine team spirit and the desire to contribute towards a team effort

  • A secure understanding of the importance of safeguarding children's well-being

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share children's observations and next steps through verbal and written means
