Commercial Sales Director - Construction - £50-60k basic

The Role:



  • A quality and premium glazing manufacturer are looking for a Commercial Sales Director to lead the UK sales and business operation

  • The Commercial Sales Director will have full P&L responsibility for the UK Operation, for a company who offer bespoke and innovative roof glazing product solutions into mainly the Commercial sector.

  • Managing a team of 7 in the UK, the Commercial Sales Director will be based from the companies UK Office in Cambridgeshire

  • Managing and developing 2 Regional Sales Managers (North and South) who are external sales professionals tasked with winning architectural specifications for the companys product solutions and tracking them through to Main Contractors and Installers

  • The Commercial Sales Director will also manage the internal sales, project management and technical support team.

  • The Commercial Sales Director will also manage the top 4-5 Installer Key Accounts allowing Regional Sales Managers to focus on Specification and Project Tracking.

  • European travel will be relatively often, visiting the Head Office and Manufacturing facility.

  • There is scope and the genuine opportunity for the successful Commercial Sales Director to become the UK Managing Director and member of the Board with time.

  • The Commercial Sales Director will need to be driven to develop procedures, systems and internal communications.

    They will also manage budgets & strategies for growth.

  • Will be an active and important member of the International Management team, expected to come forward with ideas and strategies to grow the company and brand awareness.

  • Outstanding opportunity to lead, grow and develop the UK business and potentially become a member of the Board within 3 years +

The Ideal Person:



  • Must have 3-5 years people management experience within the Construction sales industry

  • Must have experience and an expert understanding of the Commercial Specification sales process, with architects, M&E Consultants and Main Contractors/Installers

  • Structured mindset who is not afraid to make decisions efficiently

  • Energetic, driven and hungry personality who is ambitious to lead and grow a UK Business, it's staff and turnover

  • Must have a full UK driving license.
