Senior Therapeutic Care Worker

I am recruiting for Senior Therapeutic care Worker vacancies for one of Safehands Recruitments prestigious clients based in the Pembrokeshire Area.

You will be working as part of a reputable organisation specialising working with children where training and development is provided.

You will play an integral part of a multi- professional team caring for children and young adults aged between 6-16 years with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

QCF level 3 with children and young people needed.

Drivers license essential.

This is a full time permanent vacancy paying £17100 pa (plus up to £3,000 allowance) with up to 27 days annual leave per year.

Working hours include earlies and lates on a rota basis including weekdays and weekends and contracted sleep ins.

Responsibilities of Senior Therapeutic Care Worker:

Assisting clients with all aspects of personal care, promoting self help and independence inline with care plans

To assist key workers and unit managers in ensuring all record keeping pertaining to the children and young people is kept up to date and accurate

Assisting the administration of medication

Supporting the clients education including attending school and completing homework

Assisting with domestic duties

To participate in the organisation of activities and holidays for the individuals

Working closely with teaching staff, social workers and external professionals in a professional manner

Supporting clients to access the community

Managing challenging behaviour in a safe and effective manner

Undertake regular sleep in duties

Participate in regular review meetings and risk assessments

Attend and contribute to team meetings

To maintain knowledge and operate within current legislation and company polices and procedures

Promote independence and develop a trusting relationship with the clients

Maintain confidentiality at all times

Report any concerns that may indicate safety and well being is being compromised

To undertake all mandatory training inline with company policies and procedures

Person Specification for Senior Therapeutic Care Worker:

Due to the location of the business and shift patterns, all applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicles

Staff must be flexible with shift patterns

must hold a QCF level 3 in health and social care (children and young people)

Experience within a Health and Social Care would be advantageous but not essential

All applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and 5 years referencing
