IT Service Continuity Manager Milton Keynes £40,000 - £50,000

The IT Service Continuity Manager will play a fundamental role in ensuring the necessary plans and processes are in place to ensure business continuity.

Working within the IT department it is essential that IT Service continuity principles are embedded into the department and wider company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and managing the IT Service Continuity Management strategy and all related activities.

  • Providing key input into the preparation of the Business Continuity Management crisis response planning.

  • Defining and coordinating reviews for all the IT Service Continuity Management.

  • Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of an emergency handbook and disaster plans.

  • Carrying out IT Service Continuity Management training as required.

  • Liaising with the BCM function regarding suggestions for improvement to ITSCM policy and standards.

  • Evaluating plans and procedures of external suppliers and implementing improvements to ensure IT services are in line with one another.

  • Representing service continuity to other areas of the business and manage any issues that arise.

You must have:

  • Proven experience with Business Continuity Process or IT Service Continuity

  • Experience of delivering solutions for Return to Operation (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) requirements

  • Experience of delivering IT Service Continuity Management solutions for complex business processes

  • Experience in creating and coordinating IT Service Continuity Management test exercises

  • Exposure to ITIL V3 service management principles qualified or prepared to achieve qualification.

  • The ability to produce relevant management information in order to monitor performance or processes

  • Driven with the ability to identify opportunities and think out of the box to represent new ideas and ways of working.

  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to demonstrate systematic thought processes.

  • Ability to influence others, in order to promote good working practices, or to change opinions in situations where opposing views are held.

  • Excellent time management with the ability to work in pressurised situations and meet deadlines by prioritising appropriately.

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (bonus + car scheme + fuel card + benefits)
